Big News & DSO December Color Challenge

First the BIG NEWS! I'm going to have my own store!! I'm so excited - the ladies at AdVENturous Scraps asked if I would like to join the design team and I said yes!



Now I haven't uploaded anything - but keep an eye open because stuff is coming.



I loved Kim B's selection of colors (she always picks the best colors) so much that I used them for my first kit. So my color challenge entry is a sampler of my first kit for sale: The Man Kit.

My Blog Makeover

Like my new look? It's a huge improvement over what I had previously (which was nothing)! Well, a big "Thank You"!! goes out to Allie Brown (see her blinkie to the left) for the blog background and header. She even has instructions on how to set everything up!

I selected one of her creations using a kit by Sherah at SKrapper Digitals. The kit is called "Thankful" and it seemed appropriate for this month. Plus I'm a sucker for anything autumn themed.

The font on the header is called Cardinal. I don't remember where I got it, but I know it came from one of the free font websites.

ADSD Collaboration - After Dusk (Long post-lots of freebies!!)

Get ready to clear out some hard drive space - the ADSD designers have been at it again! This month's theme is After Dusk. Unfortunately, I don't do much after dusk that doesn't involve my 17 month old toddler. So I went for what I wish I could do after dusk, something romantic and serene.


To be honest, I was having a tough time with this theme - so I decided to make brag book pages for some of the other designers who were kind enough to offer up their kits early. After playing with those, I got inspired to make my own kit and brag book pages! LOL!

Pretty Scrappy Color Challenge October

SAS Color Challenge for October

I don't know about you - but whenever I played the game Clue - it seemed like more often than not Miss Scarlet was the guilty one. Boo over at SAS gave the color challenge a theme as well as a color palette this month - Mystery. So, I decided to do a kit based on some of the things you might find in Miss Scarlet's parlor.

DSO October Color Challenge

Here is my rather large submission for the DSO Color Challenge, almost 300 MB of stuff (mostly papers). Once again, I couldn't decide what to leave out of the kit!

DAC October Color Challenge

A new month - a new set of color challenges. I decided to start with the color challenge over at Digital Arts Cafe.

I also decided to play - I used a brush from SKrapper Digitals' Designer Toolbox #1 to make multi-layered overlays. Let me know what you think. The second set is actually embossed and less busy than the first set. Both sets are in one download and you can get the file here. (Link Expired)

Fall Splendor Links Fixed & Add-On Freebie

Okay - so my Fall Splendor links went down - Again!! This time all of them went bad. I'm not exactly sure why, but I felt bad so I created a little Add-On for the Fall Splendor kit - as if it wasn't big enough (LOL)!

The Add-On includes the following:

Fall Splendor Link Fixed

Moving through my Color Challenges

I will be posting more of my color challenge entries over the next few days. Today's submission is my entry over at the Scraphead Forum. Please note, the drop shadows are for the preview only.

The papers in this kit are special to me - I designed the pattern (the grungy part of the papers is courtesy of Pixel Fairy's CU overlay, but the pattern is something I created). Let me know what you think about the pattern on the papers - I love constructive criticism.

Pretty Scrappy Color Challenge September

Ahhh, another day, another color challenge. Pretty Scrappy has a nice color challenge this month, it was a refreshing break from all of the fall colors. Don't get me wrong, I love fall - it's my favorite season, but it was still a nice change.
